Summertime at the Beach...Assateague
Daddy got a contract to help on the Chincoteague bridges this summer. So we packed or bags and headed out with him a couple times this summer. The hotel and food was free...who could ask for a better vacation. I took the kids to the Assateague National Shoreline during the early part of the day. They are finally at the perfect age to enjoy the ocean and the waves. Maggie was excited and has no fear of the water. Logan, as the pictures show, would much rather be on the sand building castles and waterways. Sadie was a little scared of the water at first, but came around. It was fun to see Sadie try and fill her bucket with water. She would start way too far back and just keep waiting hoping that eventually the water would get to her and she wouldn't have to be in it! Eventually, she did move closer and by the end of the trip loved the ocean! July 2010
