The end of the school year came to a close so quickly! I was teaching 2nd grade and before I knew it time was up! I want to move on with my blog and add some of these fun summertime activities. So here's a year end summary of this past school year.
This year I was able to go with Maggie on her field trip to Appomattox. It was quite cold outside and we didn't bring our jackets. Maggie was freezing, but we had a wonderful time together.
Sadie and I went to Natural Bridge Safari Park for her kindergarten field trip. I was so excited to go with Sadie and her class. I took the day off of work and we had a blast! The camels were huge and very intimidating. None of the kids were willing to feed the camels at first. So the tour guide told them to throw the feed on the bottom of the wagon.
Sadie didn't want to loose all her camel food and/or bucket.
Logan told her about his trip last year. Where the camels ate his bucket and all.
And SADIE definately lost it! Bucket and all!!!Even though it was a long
and very hot day, we had tons of fun and this shows it.
This is a picture of Maggie and I on our way to the Governor's School
for auditions for Drama Camp. It was a great bonding experience
and we enjoyed our girls morning out!
Logan was honored to carry his class country flag for
the opening ceremony for field day.
Being a teacher/mom volunteer made field day a little crazier than normal.
My job was to fill 300 water ballons so we spent 3 hours.
My fingers felt like they were going to fall off from tying knots.

Maggie received an award for being the Top Reader for 4th grade.
I think the cutest part is that she gave the principal a hug!
Sadie received Citizenship of the Year award. She is so timid at school,
when they said her name it took several minutes to register in her mind.
Logan received the Top Reader Award for 2nd Grade
