Beach Bound Baby or Bust!

We started our summer off with a trip to the beach with our good friends, the Pelos. We had a lot of fun at Corolla, North Carolina. We did not have the best weather for the beach, but we made the most of it and the kids didn't skip a beat! Here are some pictures of our trip.

Gwen, Sadie and Maggie decided it was too windy swim and decided to take over the sand.

The kids decided to make a "mote" and it became a huge task the kids loved.

 The guys decided they didn't mind the red flag warning, and wanted to catch the big wave. The lifeguard had to kick them out of the water. I captured this picture and tough the looked liked little boys walking away from their dream. It was so fun!!!

The whole gang, Gwen, Maggie, Rodney, Ryan, Gracie, Sadie, Logan and Noah 

 Daddy decided to take the suburban out four wheeling on the beach. The kids all jumped in the back and we went for a ride! We enjoyed the ride and it wasn't until we were almost back that we saw the wild ponies.

 We took the kids on a trip to the NC Aquarium and the new exhibit was about sea turtles. Each one of the kids had an injuried turtle and had to treat it. This was a really cool exhibit and we loved it!

 Josh and I have been coming to Big Al's for 13 years and we love it! We really enjoyed taking the kids and feeling like we were back in the 50's again!

One day we took the kids and drove down to Manteo. We did not choose the right day, because the wind was chunking! We found a marsh that was hidden behind the bridge so it wasn't as windy.

Maggie was kind enough to snap a photo of Logan and I so I could be in a picture! I was so excited.
