August Brings us to Vacation Baby...Nags Head.

Since Josh as had his current job, it puts him working out of town more than we had hoped for and not much time off. So this year, we put a little extra money aside and went to Nags Head,NC with Ryan and Erin's family. The kids had a blast from marco polo in the pool, to learning how to bogey board in the waves. We loved relaxing and watching daddy fish.We anticipated walking on the beaches and sleeping in...we enjoyed our time so much we didn't want to leave. It was truly a wonderful ending to our summertime fun.
One of the most memorable parts of our trip was taking the Hatteras Island Ferry System. We drove the car onto the ferry, were able to walk around while the boat drove and dropped us on the other side of the island. The kids thought this was really cool!

Feeling the waves, and the boards...Maggie and Logan loved this new sport.

Josh doing what he enjoys...Fishing in a calm creek.(sorry about the sand on the lens, I need to photoshop this one someday.)

While daddy was fishing the creek, the kids just started walking and playing together, I love these moments. These are what siblings should be all about, discovering one another and helping each other out.

I was able to take this shot of Maggie while she was waiting for a canoe trip with Josh. It amazes me how truly quick they grow up. I look at this photo and it brings tears to my eyes. My oldest baby is soon turning 9, and becoming a beautiful young woman right before my eyes.

We enjoyed a late evening walk on the beach, it was so relaxing. So glad Ryan and Erin asked us if we wanted to join in vacation.

Girly Girls...that is what we are! We can't go to the beach without painting our pretty finger and toe nails. Thanks Erin for teaching us how to be "prissy princesses"!

Pretending we are in the Kayak can sometimes be a little easier than actually riding in them.
