It is very hard for me to believe that Logan is already 7. I will never forget when we were pregnant with Logan,we went in for the ultrasound. We were so excited to find out what we were having, only to hear the doctor tell us it was a boy the their was a problem. So much for the excitement! He said that Logan had cysts on his brain and that could be signs of down syndrome. After lots of prayer and fasting, we came to the realization that no matter what happened, we knew this baby was ours, and we would love him no matter what.
After a very long month, we went to the "specialist" in Ogden, Utah, to find out more information. He did another ultrasound, and the cysts on his brain were gone, the doctor said he looked very healthy. This was only the beginning of our future with what I like to call, my personal miracle baby. Labor and delivery was the worst it could have ever possibly been, Logan was to big for my body and stuck in the canal. His heart rate was dropping and the meds were given to me too late and I was knocked out.The doctor, nurse and Josh had the push him out, I was given morphine and don't remember much. I have my husband's very real story to believe. Why do I tell you this? Because I know that miracles still take place on this earth today. It is small miracles like this one, that help me to realize that God loves me and knows my families needs. I love my little man, and couldn't imagine life without him.
For Logan's birthday, he was given a new bike from Big Papa and Doby(Maces). He was thrilled, daddy gave him a ramp and now he could enjoy it. The only downfall with the new bike was the brakes. Instead of brakes on the pedals, the brakes were on the handlebars. This was all new to him and he was very excited. Well, about a week after we had the bike...the accident happened! Stay tuned to the next update, with "pictures"!
This is labeled "the saddest birthday cake ever"!(thanks Jake) So, Logan picked Ribs for his birthday dinner and my kitchen was nice and hot while trying to ice the cake. He wanted a basketball, but after re-doing the icing 9 times and crying my eyes out that it didn't work, I finally gave in. I said it looked like a smashed pumpkin. But Logan loves me and wanted me to feel good, he told me he liked it anyway. He siad "mom, it doesn't matter what it looks like it tastes really good".

Here is the "soon to be famous bike".

this is the "soon to be very famous helmet".

We were able to celebrate Logan's birthday with Grandpa and Grandma Wall as well, and Logan loved sharing a good lookin cake with Grandpa!
