Back from the Dead!

So it's been months since I have posted and I am feeling guilty! We have had a very busy year with lots going on from births to deaths, travel for vacations and others to see family. We are so excited to get this blog up and running again. We hope that you hang with us while I sort pictures of where to begin...probably at current since that would be the easiest. So the long and winding road still continues, Josh is still traveling and we are still seeking a new job, but are very thankful at this time in the economy that we have a good steady solid job! We still are the proud owners of two homes. Our home on the eastern shore is still on the market...afterall it has only been 3 and 1/2 years. We just try to keep holding onto the future!

We recently took the kids on a Suprise vacation. I loaded up the Suburban (yes, we purchased one back in January)the night before, while they were sleeping. Then the next morning we took Logan to the doctor and left town immediately afterwards. It was a blast! Josh meet us in Winchester and we all rode together to Palymra. Maggie had been wanting to see the pagent, now was her chance! We thought that Sadie would be a little too young, but she loved it and still talks about it. We arrived around 11a.m. and were able to get sets on the front row. The kids were thrilled!!! We then left our blankets on the chairs and toured the Joseph Smith home and property, and walked the Sacred Grove with the kids.We found out that Josh's brother, Jesse and his wife, Dana, and their twins were at the pagent as well for youth conference, so we met up with them and they joined us for New York Pizza and our tour. We then returned to await the pagent. Here are some pictures...

We climbed the Hill Camorah and the kids loved looking at the statue and reading the scriptures engraved on the statue.

Maggie was really looking forward to the sacred grove. She found a bench and sat, I felt a little like I was invading her privacy, but as a mom, it was a moment I wanted to remember, I think she was praying.

This is a great picture of Daddy and Logan sitting on a bench chatting in the Sacred Grove. Logan is getting baptized next week and we really thought this would be a great reason to take them. A testimony builder.<

It was really hot and all Sadie could say is " Mom I'm dying, I need a drink", which would make me laugh a little. I continued to tell her we have a cooler full in the car we will be there soon. But she wouldn't have for it...then...We came across a water fountian and she ran, not sure how cold the water was, but to her it was HEAVEN!!

A simple picture of our little family in the Sacred Grove.

We were at the Hill Camorah Pagent long enough that we were able to see lots of the actors. These guys walked by and Josh was asking them who they were...come to find out they were ALL Lehi's, So of course we had to grab the camera and get a picture.

Josh and I read this quote and felt like it was hitting a little close to home. This is a quote by Lucy Mack Smith about their home, which took years to build and then they lost much of everything, because they couldn't afford it.
